Stare at the image below and most of you will realize that it isn’t the original cover that once appeared in the United States. That is because that cover was licensed for distribution within England by a UK publisher of the name Alan Class who is to be featured in an upcoming article in the new issue of Ditkomania. Rob Imes and myself have written that article, which has the theme of ‘Ditko around the world’. Because of Alan Class’s importance in the distribution of Steve Ditko’s work (especially at Marvel & Charlton) within the UK and to add more insight into the thought process behind our brief introduction I would like to share an interview that was conducted with the publisher many years after he was thought unreachable.
