Some of the best and most interesting work Steve Ditko did in the 60’s was with Warren publishing. With artists like Frank Frazetta and the brilliant Wallace Wood at his side he produced some of his best work to date. During this time at Warren Publishing Steve Ditko’s art was very different from what we would have normally seen; his pencils were ink-washed – this added a depth and boldness not normally seen in his other, more known, books.
